West Ham will be looking to bring in some big names this summer, but it is just as important for the Hammers to keep hold of their top stars if they want to progress.

The likes of Aaron Cresswell, Dimitri Payet and most recently Andy Carroll have really impressed and it is vital that West Ham’s best players remain at the club with such a big season approaching.

There is a growing feeling that the Premier League’s ‘big four’ is slowly becoming a thing of the past. This is obviously good news for growing clubs like West Ham as it provides an opportunity for a club like the Hammers to break the top four barrier, which is exactly what Leicester City have done this season.

With the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United almost guaranteed to spend millions in the summer, it will be important for the Hammers to keep hold of their Premier League performers.

It’s all well and good getting big bucks in when players are sold but the money isn’t always reinvested effectively. Also, the Hammers are in more of a commanding position when it comes to keeping their top players due to their improved league position.

As well as keeping the team’s star perfomers, Slaven Bilic will also be looking for another successful transfer window when it comes to recruitment. The latest attacking players linked to the club include Celta Vigo’s impressive forward Nolito and Manchester United’s Memphis Depay.

These are the sort of players Hammers fans will certainly want to arrive at the club as they have the ability to be game changers. Even Depay was one of the most sought-after attackers in Europe last summer so securing a signing of his calibre would be a big bonus.

If West Ham can successfully operate the ins and outs at the club this summer, there is no reason as to why the club cannot challenge for the Champions League next season.
