West Ham target Oguzhan Ozyakup is in the gaze of Spanish giants Atletico Madrid, with Futbol Arena claiming that the La Liga giants have launched a €12 million bid for the all-action Besiktas star.

Although the Turkish side are believed to want €20 million for the international midfielder, the offer is seen as a statement of intent by Diego Simeone’s men and the first step to the 23-year-old leaving his homeland.

Given that Slaven Bilic was in charge at Besiktas before moving to the Hammers, a host of the Super Lig outfit’s players have been linked with a move to the Boleyn Ground.

The Croatian coach has openly admitted in the past that he would like to sign Ozyakup for West Ham, with every chance that the London outfit could make a move for him this summer.

The gifted midfielder has scored nine goals and created eight more for Besiktas so far this season and is set to star for Turkey at Euro 2016.
