It seems inevitable that West Ham will look to the transfer market in the next few weeks. Slaven Bilic’s squad has been damaged by a number of high profile injuries that have weakened key areas, and strengthening the squad in general is essential if West Ham are going to have any chance of climbing the table and pushing for Europe this season. There are question marks over the availability of sufficient funds, but if David Gold finds value in the market or the right player becomes available then there is a good chance we could be seeing a few new signings in the next month.
