Mourinho charged as Hammers also face punishment

Jose Mourinho has been hit with a fine from the Football Association following his misconduct at half time in the game against the Hammers.

Although it is unclear exactly what Mourinho did at half time, there are reports that the Chelsea boss entered the referee’s room before being told by Jon Moss that he had to watch the rest of the second half from the stands.

The most likely cause for Mourinho’s rage could have been Nemanja Matic’s sending off but replays of both fouls reveal that dimissing the Serbian was the right thing to do.

The charge comes just three weeks after Mourinho was fined £50,000 and given a stadium ban for his rather bold claims that the referees ‘are against’ Chelsea football club.

Another member of the Chelsea coaching staff, Silvino Louro, has also been charged with misconduct when he literally ran onto the pitch in protest in the 45^th minute.

The FA released a statement outlining the punishments for both Mourinho and Louro:

“Jose Mourinho has been charged with misconduct in relation to his language and/or behaviour towards the match officials in or around the dressing room area at half-time,”

“Chelsea coach Silvino Louro has also been charged with misconduct in relation to his behaviour which led to his 45th minute dismissal from the technical area.”

Interestingly, both teams have also been charged with failing to control their players after Jon Moss was surrounded following Matic’s second yellow card.
