West Ham defender and Arsenal loanee Carl Jenkinson is already looking forward to the visit of Chelsea next Saturday after the Hammers produced an excellent performance to beat Crystal Palace.

Speaking to the Express, Jenkinson claimed that the team were more than ready to face Jose Mourinho’s side:

“We have got every chance of beating them,” the defender stated.

“Coming off the Palace result we are going to be buzzing going into that game.

“It was a massive win for us. Chelsea have started the season poorly but they are a top team and with the players they have got they are going to turn things around.

“They beat Aston Villa at the weekend but we are desperate to keep our run going.

“If we keep playing how we have been, I think we have got every chance.

The Blues recorded a 2-0 home victory against a struggling Aston Villa side on Saturday but the Hammers have been playing some excellent football, reserving their best performances against the ‘better’ sides in the league.

Jenkinson grabbed another goal in the 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace, his second in as many games for the club. The Hammers’ home form has been slightly unpredictable so far this season but Chelsea’s style of play allows West Ham to play their preferred counter-attacking game.

Can’t wait for us to get amongst them on Saturday.

Hope we don’t start slowly and make mistakes as has sometimes been our trouble at home this year though.

But then again if you can’t be up for chelski then you should maybe think about packing it in! COYI!
