Carlton ColeSo, Carlton Cole is currently undergoing a medical.

I would write more but deadline day has zapped all my energy (I invested a lot of emotion in hoping Demba Ba would re-join)

You happy Carlton is back?

I am now the window has closed but I can’t quite believe we’ve ended up here…

We are DESPERATE for a striker, and whilst we were all disapointed a bigger name was not obtained, we know, on his day, CC can be a handful in the premier league. He is familiar with the club and players and more importantly is happy playing second fiddle behind AC. Something I wouldn’t have expected from Ba, Lukaku, etc. Lets just hope that he has been keeping himself fit!

Bit of an embarrassing back track for both parties though!!

I like Cole for his effort if not his ability. But what this shows is how embarrassingly inept West Ham have been during the window. I had faith in Sam but this has seriously dented my belief that he knows what he’s doing. What on earth was he playing at bringing in Downing when, by his own admission, he needed a striker and then supposedly couldn’t because we’d hit our wage ceiling (no other club seems to be mentioning this).

Then there was the whole Vaz Te fiasco. Making it clear that he was free to go and then not letting him because we had no replacement.

It’s been a farce worthy of Brian Rix (who remembers him?) and the Cole re-signing is the equivalent of the David’s and Allardyce running round with their trousers round their ankles.

I’ve binned my season ticket. Will be asking for a refund. Incredibly disappointed with this news. Handful!!!! ???? All he does is fall on his ass, hold his hips and give the opposing team valuable points. Not even Accrington Stanley came in for him, but we think he can do a job in the Premiership. I’m not paying good money to see him shrug and fein all over again. What a shame. Shame on the club! Laughing stock.

Pragmatic action given the circumstances and I though CC was playing well in Prem last year. As last season, if only BFS would play him alongside AC it would scare the hell out of opposing defences. The elephant in the room through all of the transfer dealings is why do we have to play only one up front???? Especially at home.

absolute rubbish im supporting Westham for over 40 years and this the pits. sack ALLARDYCE and bring in DI CANIO

    • ANNE says:

DI CANIO IS A NUTTER READ THE PAPERS. ALSO SULLIVAN HAS SAID ALL ALONG WE CAN NOT GET A STRIKER OR ANY ONE ELSE BECAUSE OF THE WAGE STRUCTURE. SO I WAS NOT EXPECTING ANY IN. WE ARE NOT A TOP CLUB WE A ARE SECOND HALF OF THE LEAGUE CLUB ALWAYS WILL BE. DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE THINK BECAUSE WE ARE GOING TO HAVE THE OS THAT THINGS WILL CHANGE, SEEMS LIKE THE ONLY WAY YOU GET PLAYERS IN IS TO BE OWNED BY A MILLION OR BILLIONAIRE, THEY BOUGHT WEST HAM SO THAT THEY CAN SELL UPTON PARK END OF. SO I AM NOT ANGRY JUST KNOW THAT THAT IS WAY IT IS AND WILL BE…. JUST MY OPINION OF COURSE.

Two 6 foot plus lightweights – “He pushed me ref” – Then cry –
Cross into the box – fail to meet it – somebody in my way – “He pushed me ref” – Then cry –
Loyal Hammers fans want forwards that will try – We end up with two lightweights who will cry!
But they are both excellent at falling down for no reason.

Carlton Cole never set the world on fire but he’s a very decent bloke who in the modern world of over paid prema-donna footballers agreed to a significant wage cut to help the club back into the premier league – and has contributed some important goals (although I agree he’s not prolific enough!) He’ll fit back in quickly and I’m sure will notch a few goals too. At least he’s normally fit and available. I for one welcome him back as he was not very well treated during his contract renewal talks. The transfer window was if anything a definite reality check and a wake up call. Attracting good quality players to West Ham is no easy task as players always seem to have “better” options. Very disappointed we couldn’t get a striker in – let’s hope and pray Andy Carroll comes good and stays fit as we seem to have got all our eggs in one basket! I’m sure it wasn’t planned to be that way but failing to find a quality strike partner could be the difference between a good season or another struggle!

Has Sam lost the plot Calton back(why was he allowed to leave when A C injured) claim Vaz Te was tapped-up . Please sort this mess out because we are a laughing stock at the moment

  • Rocky says:

I’m so pleases Coles coming back. He really has served us well and he’s always so commited to West Ham. Play him up front with Ravel Morrison in our next game, push Moiga to the bench with Vaz Te. Coles far better for us than Moiga and Vaz Te. Very good desison by sullivan to bring him back, you watch he will show us why he wants to play for West Ham, he never wanted to leave and is totally devoted to us. We need to cheer him on and show how much we love him to in our next game-simple as that

  • wolfie says:

CC always gave 100%+ for the shirt, not a great player but a grafter-unlike MM
