West Ham vs QPR: The Opposition’s View

West Ham United entertain Queens Park Rangers in a must win clash for both teams for differing reasons, the Hammers need to stop the rot and get that winning feeling back, whilst QPR need to keep up their fine 2013 form under Redknapp.

Are you on Facebook? Excellent, so are we http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/ForeverWestHamcom/200938616608282

If the game survives this winter wonderland like state the United Kingdom has come under then this is a game that Redknapp and Allardyce will fire their sides up for. Chamakh and Paulista could be set for West Ham home debut, whilst exciting French forward Loic Remy could be in line for his Hoops debut.

I took it upon myself to step into the dark side and find the opinions from the readers of WeAreTheRangersBoys.com in a piece I like to call “The Opposition View”. I signed up with the rather risqué name Bowdenwhu and asked twelve questions to the R’s fans. Here are just some of the responses it received (well the ones I could use anyway!)

Bowdenwhu: Views on Harry?

Will M: Very pleased so far.

MattyRangers: Love him, Great character and already showing us his ability to turn a team’s fortunes around.

Bowdenwhu: Season so far?

Will M: Embarrassing. Calendar year so far has been great though.

MattyRangers: Awful, underwhelming & embarrassing. Although as Will says, 2013 been blinding so far. Long may it continue!

Bowdenwhu: Players to watch out for on Saturday in the Hoops?

Will M: Adel. Hopefully our new striker too. [Remy}

MattyRangers: Taarabt & hopefully Remy also.

Bowdenwhu: What do you make of West Ham’s season so far?

Will M: Good start, injuries are taking their toll though.

MattyRangers: Flew out the blocks, done very well. Think you’ll struggle 2nd half of the season but won’t matter (relegation wise) as you have enough points on the board already.

Bowdenwhu: Which West Ham players would you have in your squad and why?

Will M: Kevin Nolan, he’s the kind of player we have been lacking for far too long; a goal scoring midfielder.

MattyRangers: Obvious choice would be Nolan as goal scoring midfields are rare but I personally wouldn’t mind Tomkins – think he’s a decent young CB.

Bowdenwhu: Favourite West Ham vs QPR memories?

Will M: Beating West Ham 3-0.

MattyRangers: Only time we’ve played you at your place in my lifetime’s memory was in the Championship a few years back when you turned us over 2-1.

Bowdenwhu: How do you think you will line up on Saturday?

Will M: Cesar. Onuoha. Nelsen. Hill. Da Silva. SWP. M’Bia. Derry. Mackie. Taarabt. Remy. 4-4-1-1

MattyRangers:

 Cesar

Onouha Hill Nelsen Fabio

Derry Mbia

Mackie Taarabt SWP

Remy

Bowdenwhu: Where do you think you will finish and where do you think the Hammers will finish come May?

Will M: 17th for us, 14th for West Ham.

MattyRangers: Us 16th. You 13th.

Bowdenwhu: Finally, Score Predictions for Saturday?

Will M: 2-0 QPR

MattyRangers: 1-1

I would like to thank Will M and MattyRangers for taking part and helping me produce this piece.
