His homecoming makes sense

|

Rumours are circulating on the Twitterverse that a certain Carlos Tevez may be nearing a return to the Boleyn. Obviously Jack Sullivan’s announcement on Twitter that ‘a big signing’ is on the way is not about the return of the Ginger Pele to the West Ham defence but about possibly a different player with an entirely different colour of hair. The rumour and conjecture over this possible signing has whetted the appetites for a big name and has led some ‘in the know’ to state that the intended player is indeed Carlos Tevez.

The fastest growing Hammers website is now on Facebook, click the link to be entered into our up and coming competitions http://www.facebook.com/pages/ForeverWestHamcom/200938616608282

Now this kind of rumour has to be taken with a pinch of salt, why would a player of Tevez’s stature and on his considerable wages want to join us? Especially when he has made it clear that his next destination will be Brazil? But what if David Gold and David Sullivan could pull off the unimaginable?

Even the most cynical of fans would love to Tevez back in the Claret and Blue and it may have benefits for Carlos – 1st team football week in, week out, getting away from Roberto Mancini, finally playing alongside Gary O’Neil – it ticks a lot of boxes for the little Argentine.

But realistically as much as my heart thinks Tevez would jump at the chance to come back to West Ham, my head knows it very unlikely. It is unlikely, isn’t it?

But what would do you think? Will Tevez ever return to the Boleyn Ground? And if he did, would he fit into Big Sam’s plans? And how will he fit in with Carlton Cole? Let me know.

Sorry to be a fantasy-party pooper but have you all forgotten how bad he was for the first two-tirds of ‘that’ season? One of the reasons that we needed the miracle escape was because himself and Mascherano were so poor…For the kind of money he would want we can surely do better?

Jack Sullivan also announced on Twitter that ‘The Big Signing’ did not want to came to the club at this moment in time even though the clubs had agreed terms. The Big Signing was obviously Carroll and has never been Tevez, this is just people clutching at straws.
