Son of Ince

|

Blackpool await West Ham Utd in the play-off final on the 19th may at Wembley stadium and one man is expecting a hostile atmosphere from the claret and blue half of the great arena.

Thomas Ince son of the ‘infamous’ Paul Ince will line up

against the Hammers with some trepidation, in the previous fixture the tricky winger was given a torrid time by the Hammers faithful also being on the wrong end of a thumping score line.

The fastest growing Hammers website is now on Facebook, click the link to be entered into our up and coming competitions http://www.facebook.com/pages/ForeverWestHamcom/200938616608282

Casting my mind back to the Paul Ince scenario, I can still see why the ex Man Utd skipper gets a hard time whenever he visits the Boleyn ground. Ince has since stated he was incorrectly advised by his then agent Ambrose Mendy and had never intended

for the picture ‘which he was instructed by his agent to do’ to be published before his transfer was complete.

When I think back to the treachery of the likes of Craig Bellamy threatening to strike if he didn’t get a move or West Ham hero Scott Parker making the unforgivable move to neighbours Spurs(something Paul Allen will tell you about) the Ince scenario kind of scales into insignificance.

The truth of the matter is the circus of hating Ince is now more of a habit than true hatred as I’m sure Scotty Parker would get a rapturous welcome at the Boleyn despite his unspeakable act.

I recently asked a few Twitter followers whether they would consider a move for the speedy winger and the general consensus was a positive one, perhaps the youngster could be running the wing for the Hammers next season?

I will call on every West Ham fan not to boo a young lad who actually looks a half decent player on the Blackpool wing. The name of the back of his shirt may say Ince but he is not his Father and did not pose in any football strips, save your boo’s for his Dad who is bound to be in the crowd watching!

Booing Thomas Ince for something his father did before he was even born is ridiculous.

We must remember that Paul Ince was a great player for us, never let us down, and was devistated when John Lyall was inexplicably sacked and that was partly to blame for his depature! But regardless if he was persuaded to do what he did to upset us he was ignorantly naive?

Totally agree that we should nt boo the lad, last thing we need is him terrorising our back four!

  • Barry says:

Leave the lad alone. He has already come out and said his dads a tosser for doing what he did . COYI

paul ince posed in a man u shirt while still a westham player
in the days he did that you didnt have to sell your players when relegated westham never wanted to sell him mendy could only see a cut of a transfer fee wich im sure he got
then once the shirt thing came out we couldnt keep him then we got stitched up on the transfer fee 800k up front 5k a game he only failed a medical at manu after he wore that shirt
my opinion on ince the father he cost us promotion in 89 90 season cos we only got a cut of the 2.2 mill that we were offered and couldnt buy our way up that season
but ince the son has done nothing to westham fans hes never dissed us so i wont boo him i dont think id wanna see an ince play for us ever again

If I remember correctly it was not only the shirt with mr Ince!
I believe he also said at the time ‘ I don’t want to play for those stiffs anymore.
I agree that the very good young Ince has done nothing to warrant the booing.

Ince Snr was a fine player – however, anyone who lets down their boyhood team, who had built him, nurtured him, and developed him before pointing him in the direction of future glory, is obviously a nasty, ungrateful, spiteful and selfish little person, easily manipulated by greedy agents, and blinded by the lure of the Mancscum cash. He can rot in hell before I even want to see him mentioned in the same breath as West Ham. BUT… his son is a decent young player, who has never criticised us, nor done anything to hurt us. I won’t be booing him – leave the lad alone.
