West Ham fans do not forget players who leave on bad terms, just ask Paul Ince, Jermain Defoe or this man in question, Frank Lampard. In spite of this I think us West Ham fans, in time would welcome him back, even with a few concerns at first.
Lampard did leave on bad terms, he criticised West Ham after he left, showing a clear lack of respect for the club that made him the player he is today. Despite all that, Lampard scores goals, he creates chances and he has proven himself time and time again as a game changer. This would be enough to quiet the disapproving fans. Lampard has also already racked up 19 goals this season; in the Championship he would be prolific, and that would be enough to win over the disapproving supporters.

Despite speculation Lampard will not be returning to Upton Park. It is clear he is not enjoying life under new boss Andre Villas-Boas at Chelsea, but he will not ditch Champions League football to play in the Championship. If he is to leave Chelsea there would be an abundance of Premier League clubs interested, with more to offer than West Ham. Probably the most obvious reason he wouldn’t come back to us is that it would all but put an end to his international career.

Why would he go back when the west ham fans booed and jeered him on the death of his mother, every time he takes a touch etc. Plus was it not playing with world class players, under world class manage that made him the player he was?
