Jack Wilshere has been handed a boost by the outbreak of the Coronavirus as he now has a greater chance to play a key role in our fight for survival.
It’s not known when he could return to first-team fitness, but the longer it is before the restart of the season, the fitter he should be for our remaining games and we already know that David Moyes likes him.
Despite this, it’s clear that some fellow fans want the 28-year-old out in the summer as they had their say on Wilshere on Twitter after being asked about their thoughts by @COYIrons_com.
The stats behind his spell with us so far are fairly damning as he’s only featured 16 times in well over a campaign-and-a-half and has missed a whopping 54 games, picking up £100k every week in the process.
Therefore, these views are hardly a surprise and it’s tricky to find arguments against them…

Absurdly bad deal from the start, huge wages, 28 now & although I think we could still cash in on his name, I’d happily just terminate his contract & get his wages off the books! pic.twitter.com/h0xrFcpQe5

Get rid…. why? Because he’s waste of money. He’s of no value to us or any team out there.
