Claret and Hugh have published a significant revelation about David Moyes ahead of the summer transfer window.
In a report detailing that the gaffer isn’t interested in signing Phil Jones from Manchester United, C&H claim that Moyes has set an age ceiling of 25 on any new signings unless the circumstances are exceptional – plus, he will likely look to Europe and the Championship for reinforcements when the time is right.
It may seem like positive news, but fellow West Ham fans were divided as they reacted to it – some saw it as good whilst others stated that Moyes should look to our own Academy for young stars.
A separate group think they’ve heard it all before and it won’t happen like that in the next window and another lot questioned the quality of that age-strict policy, with one referencing Dimitri Payet.
See for yourself…
We have a fair few. Silva, Diagana, Adarkwa, Holland, Cullen, Ngakia etc

How old was payet when we signed him? Need to sort out scouting not just creating these filters because previous signings failed

Good news

Ridiculous – so if Messi said I am only joining West Ham, we would turn him down. The guy is clueless and should be released from his duties

Makes me laugh that out ITK are getting excited about the prospect of us signing younger players over experienced players. There are plenty of us who have been saying this for 10 years or so.. shame it’s taken ITK & the club so long to wake up
