Regardless, most would agree that it’s always disappointing news when a match doesn’t go ahead for whatever reason, but fans on social media weren’t so torn up about it as they reacted by poking fun at the situation.
One celebrated the fact that there was no defeat and goal difference insult this weekend with another similarly suggesting the outcome was the best result we could have possibly got from the encounter!
It does give the players the extended rest they so need, according to James Collins, although we will still have to face Guardiola’s men, probably at a time when we’re a lot deeper in the relegation battle.
