We found out yesterday the true extent of Tomas Soucek’s injury and it’s good news in a way, but bad news in another.
The club revealed that he’ll be missing for around three weeks after a scan on his hip flexor muscle revealed a low-grade knock after over-stretching it last Monday.
On the one hand, we really don’t want to be missing a player like the key one he’s become in such a short period of time, though at least he should be back before the March internationals.
If he does just remain sidelined for three weeks, Soucek will only miss this Saturday’s clash with Southampton, the trip to the Emirates and the visit of Wolves, returning for the Spurs game in the middle of March.
Fans were quick to point the finger of blame when reacting to the update and Rush Green training ground was unsurprisingly on the end of it…
