As bright as last night was and regardless of how many positives there were to take from it, there were also big negatives and one of them was the last 25 minutes.
One of those negatives is Sebastien Haller, who has started to be left out of Moyes’ starting Xl’s for not doing what he was brought in to do – score goals.
But on Monday his effort was clearly lacking and this was not displayed more perfectly than the half-hearted tackle he put in on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the build-up to the third goal.
Yes, he’s a striker and not a defender – although Issa Diop is only three behind him in the scoring charts now – but he hardly makes up for it at the other end of the pitch.
Unsurprisingly, Haller has come under fire on Twitter for the display…
You can see he’s got it in him but he’s just so lazy 🙈

Guy has the worst ball control I’ve seen, just bounces off him all the time

It was like watching him playing in the under 12’s game

Blokes terrible no effort at all – knocked off the ball way too easily

Looks like he couldn’t care less – Happy to take his wedge and will be happy to move on at end of season – Personally will be glad to see the back of him – Part of the reason we are where we are

Blimey ‘display’ I wouldn’t even go to that.
