It may have taken an injury for it to happen, but Pablo Fornals was finally given some significant game time by Moyes on Monday night.
It was a surprise to many that David Moyes has preferred Manuel Lanzini over the Spaniard in recent fixtures, and even decided to leave him out completely for the trip to Man City last week.
But it took the two-cap international under ten minutes to have a major impact and whether it was a stroke of luck or a well-directed finish, it was no coincidence – right place, right time.
In his last ten Premier League outings when he’s played for 40 minutes or more, Fornals has racked up five-goal contributions and simply must be given the run in the starting Xl that he deserves now.
Fellow fans have continued to call for this after the impressive Anfield cameo and you can see the best of their tweets, below…

Hope Moyes has learn’t now. Have a midfield 3 of Rice , Soucek (if fit) & Fornals. Play Fornals in the 10 role. Play 4 at the back. Have the attack as Bowen , Haller & Anderson. That should be for the next upcoming games. Need to play without fear now!
