Norwich City have won the race to sign West Ham United defender Sam Byram, according to ExWHUemployee.
The reliable club source claims that the Hammers will sell Byram to their Premier League rivals for £750,000, in a deal that will include several clauses.
ExWHUemployee revealed on his personal Twitter account that a deal should be announced on Tuesday, and release £25,000 weekly wages at the London Stadium.

Byram struggled to make an impact under Manuel Pellegrini in previous years, suffering from injuries during the past couple of seasons. The former Leeds man spent the majority of last season on loan at Nottingham Forest, only making six Championship appearances.

This deal has a bit of the inevitability surrounding it. Byram was always the third choice right-back at the London Stadium and stood no chance of making an impact ahead of both Ryan Fredericks and Pablo Zabaleta. It was always going to be hard for the 25-year-old, with his injury luck making it near impossible to even stake a claim for first-team football at the Hammers. His loan spell at Forest got off to the worst possible start when knee surgery in August led to him missing 222 days of football [Tranfermarkt]. Add to that the 163 days on the sideline in the season before down to an ankle injury, and his luck was never there. Down to his injury-prone history, it is best for both parties that Byram moves on, with his chances as limited as ever after consecutive seasons plagued with problems. Pellegrini surely would have wanted more money for the defender West Ham paid £4million for but will be happy to get his weekly wages off the bill.
