Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte is looking at West Ham attacker Marko Arnautovic as a possible addition this summer, according to The Sun

The newspaper claim that the former Chelsea boss sees the Austrian as the perfect foil for Inter’s fellow summer targets in Romelu Lukaku and Edin Dzeko.

The Sun also report that West Ham may be tempted to take £30million for the 30-year old, who cost the Hammers £24million from Stoke in 2017.

Arnautovic only recently signed a new £130,000-per week deal with the club back in January, but would relish a chance to return to his former club after spending a season on loan with the Italian giants back in 2009.

OPINION

Arnautovic has been one of West Ham’s best goalscorers since his arrival with the club back in 2017, and has managed to net eleven times and make four assists in all competitions this season. However, his future with the club is regularly in question, and it seems like he is again being reported as being interested in a move away from the London Stadium. Whether you’re a fan of the Austrian or not, it has to be said that he is one of West Ham’s most dangerous players on his day, which is maybe the reason as to why Conte is poised to tempt him away from the London Stadium, after facing up against him whilst managing Chelsea. Arguably, the 30-year old’s relationship with the Hammers’ faithful has slowly crumbled over the last few months, after the striker’s potential big-money move to China in January reportedly fell through, according to The Telegraph. However, it remains unknown as to whether the Austrian will be a West Ham player come the start of the new Premier League season or not, but if not, Manuel Pellegrini will need to get a replacement in as soon as possible.
