West Ham fans baffled at Pellegrini remarks

|

COMMENTARY

Manuel Pellegrini remarked on West Ham’s recent dip in form on the club’s official website and claimed it wasn’t anything do with the squad having a lack of fight in them. Then the Hammers manager boldly went on to state that his team can still finish seventh in the Premier League this season. While mathematically the Hammers can finish in that position after arguably submitting their worst display of the season in the 2-0 loss to Everton on Saturday, it was a strong statement to make. In fact it was so strong that several West Ham supporters were left baffled by the remarks on social media. One Hammers fan urged Pellegrini not to become Neil Warnock as it sounds like he was blaming others for the poor form, which he kind of was to some degree, while a couple believed the comments were worthy of April Fools Day. If the Hammers boss had made these remarks a few weeks ago, he would have been praised for having the right aims, but after a demoralising dismal against the Toffees, is it any wonder that there are members of West Ham fan base who aren’t buying what Pellegrini is selling anymore.
