COMMENTARY
West Ham went into the half-time break 1-0 down to Chelsea on Monday night and many Hammers supporters had a bone to pick with one player in particular after watching the first-half. This player was none other than defender Angelo Ogbonna. The centre-back had loads of Hammers fuming from almost the opening minute of the match as Eden Hazard seem to have the centre-back’s number. The Chelsea playmaker constantly glided past Ogbonna and the centre-back even managed to pick up a yellow card after just wiping the player out early in the game. Some Hammers fans feared the centre-back getting sent-off due to picking up a yellow card, while others were happy to see him leave the pitch as soon as possible, but wanted it to be down to Manuel Pellegrini hauling the player off. It’s not an easy task to stop Hazard from doing what he does, and you have to feel a little sorry for Ogbonna as a result. If Issa Diop had started instead of the veteran defender, he probably would have had a nightmare too.
