West Ham defender Reece Oxford’s desperate bid to leave the club has been dealt a blow as he has parted company with his representatives Colossal Sports Management, according to Claret & Hugh.

The reliable source of Hammers information share that the centre-back currently doesn’t have a dedicated agent and that he could sign with whichever agent is able to get him a deal.

Claret & Hugh report that despite numerous clubs scouting Oxford, including Leicester City and Manchester United, nobody has shown any firm interest.

It is believed that Oxford’s desire not to agree to a loan move may also lead to him having to wait until the summer to leave the club rather than departing in the current window.

OPINION

Oxford is regularly spoken about in the media as a host of clubs are thought to be in pursuit of his services. In recent times Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund have both been linked to the 20-year-old by The Sun  while the Daily Mail claimed Everton were keen to sign him and the Daily Mirror had Arsenal down as a potential suitor. Yet it seems Oxford may have numerous suitors but that his desperation to leave the London Stadium sooner rather than later is going to continue on. There’s consistently been mixed reports about whether the centre-back wants a future at the Hammers but based on the fact he doesn’t get a look in when it comes to the first-team, he surely can’t be happy with the current situation. The 20-year-old has not featured for the senior team all season and has instead been a regular face for the U-23s. Given that Manuel Pellegrini doesn’t seem afraid to play young talent if he deems them good enough, Oxford’s lack of involvement does suggest he should be eager to leave as his future at the Hammers looks rather bleak.
