West Ham face Watford on Saturday at the London Stadium and could be set to see a familiar face lining up against them in the form of Domingos Quina.

The 19-year-old teen sensation has been dazzling Hornets fans as a late as the skilful midfielder has seized an opportunity to break into the club’s first-team after joining them from the Hammers in the summer.

Quina played 38 minutes against Manchester City before wowing for Watford when playing 90 minutes in the club’s last two league outings against Everton and Cardiff City.

The midfield dazzler hardly got a look in at the Hammers during his time with them despite his potential being regularly banded about, as he managed only to feature six times for the senior team.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side made the bold decision to permanently part company with Quina in the summer and given his latest displays pundits have already questioned that choice.

Jamie Redknapp recently highlighted the central midfielder in his column the Daily Mail for his recent displays and put the spotlight on the Hammers’ decision to let the player slip through the clutches by pointing out that some had questioned whether it could end up haunting them.

“I heard good things about Domingos Quina when he was rising through the academies at Chelsea and then West Ham,” said the Sky Sports pundit in his newspaper column.

“After his brilliant strike for Watford against Cardiff, some have questioned whether West Ham will regret letting him go to Vicarage Road.”

Quina will be chomping at the bit to prove Redknapp right for putting the spotlight on the Hammers’ decision to let him go on Saturday as it’s the perfect opportunity to show Pellegrini and his side what they’re missing out on.

The 19-year-old has all the skills and potential to damage the Hammers and help the Hornets in the process so the Hammers have to worry how to keep him at bay.

Especially as he will be extra motivated to show the London club what he can do first-hand as he likely will feel like he should have had more first-opportunities at the London Stadium.
