OPINION
It is hard not to agree with the fans’ verdict of Arthur Masuaku in this 3-1 win over Cardiff. One minute he is on form, one minute he loses his touch – just like he has here. He cannot continue to do that, as Manuel Pellegrini will only be willing to put up with it for so long. One fan even remarked when will be the time where he becomes a good footballer, while one even claimed that he is the worst left-back in the Premier League based on this display. It is easy to echo these sentiments, as he has not shown any signs that he is improving any time soon – so the fans have a right to aim their frustrations at him. You would have thought that he would fight for his spot in the first team ahead of Aaron Cresswell, but that does not seem to be the case does it? A supporter said how they thought Masuaku looked like he had lost his confidence – and after the number of poor displays this season, who could blame him?
