Many West Ham fans weren’t exactly in the best mood as Manchester City established a comfortable lead by the time the half-time whistle blew on Saturday and one player felt their fury in particular. Arthur Masuaku was brought into the starting line-up by Manuel Pellegrini for the clash with Man City in place of Aaron Cresswell and fans clearly thought a mistake had been made once the game got going. One supporter clearly wanted the 25-year-old left-back dropped forever as he questioned why that hadn’t been the case already during the match. Then there were several fans who used a range of terms such as hopeless and useless to pan the player’s efforts. Masuaku was unfortunate to be heavily involved in David Silva putting Man City ahead in the 12th minute of the match as the ball did deflect off him, but the rest of his performance wasn’t great, so it’s easy to see why fans were quick to slam him.
