West Ham must forget all about signing Lazio midfielder Felipe Anderson and hijack Everton’s interest in RB Leipzig winger Emil Forsberg.

According to the Daily Mail the Hammers’ talks with Lazio about signing Anderson have stalled and that they’re seeking for alternative options to sign this summer.

Anderson, who can feature as a right-sided midfielder, right-winger or an attacking midfielder, is a fabulous talent but the Hammers can’t waste time trying to force the Italian giants to sell him to them as they need new recruits this summer.

The Hammers should look to welcome Forsberg to the London Stadium instead as the 26-year-old shone at the World Cup for Sweden ahead of his nation being knocked out by England.

The 26-year-old winger, who can dabble on either flank, played five games for Sweden at the prestigious tournament and even managed to grab a goal in his outings.

Forsberg was a notable member of their team and his impressive World Cup displays came on the back of a decent season for RB Leipzig where he scored five, while creating four, in 33 outings for him.

The Daily Mirror’s Live Transfer Blog (Sunday, 9:11) stated that the Toffees were interested in signing the £30million-rated Forsberg with Marco Silva having him high on his list when it comes to finding the Merseyside club a new winger.

The Hammers must hijack the Toffees’ interest in Forsberg as the 26-year-old due to his sublime crosses, dazzling dribbling skills and ability from set-pieces would soon make their disappointment over not signing Anderson a thing of the past.

With the Toffees being yet to submit a bid it also means the Hammers could easily steam ahead of them in the race to sign the 26-year-old.
