West Ham must exploit Newcastle United’s hesitation over paying £6million for Bristol City’s Joe Bryan as that is a bargain price to pay for the 24-year-old.

According to Bristol Post’s Live Transfer Blog (Saturday, 11:20) the Magpies are still very much in the race for the pacey left-back but they are simply not ready to stump up the £6million needed to take the next step in their pursuit of Bryan at this time.

The local newspaper claim that the Magpies’ situation regarding their willingness to stump up the seven-figure fee could change but the Hammers should intervene to make sure their Premier League rival’s hesitation over Bryan is properly exploited.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side are believed to be in the race for the left-sided flyer as David Anderson of the Daily Mirror previously shared via his personal Twitter account that the Hammers were keen on the Championship defender.

The Hammers would be conducting a brilliant piece of business by wrapping up a £6million deal for Bryan as not only is that a bargain price to pay, he would be very useful to Pellegrini.

The 24-year-old is a versatile player as he can play as a left-back, left-winger and even a central midfielder if required so Pellegrini would be a welcoming a very good player capable of providing his side with plenty of cover.

Bryan could also do a job in the Premier League as given his blistering pace and how impressive he was in his 48 outings last season then it easy to see that he can aid the Hammers’ quest to do well in the Premier League next season.

The flyer finished his 2017/18 campaign having scored seven goals and registering three assists so would be a great option to call upon especially given his price tag.

Therefore before the Magpies see sense and find the £6million needed to purchase Bryan the Hammers must take advantage of the situation and beat their Premier League rivals to his signature.
