Manuel Pellegrini must drive Jordan Hugill to Leeds United with the Championship side reportedly keen on loaning the forward as the 26-year-old will flourish at Elland Road.

The Sun reported on Sunday that new Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa wanted Hugill at Elland Road for the upcoming season and was eyeing a potential loan swoop for the 26-year-old attacker.

The national newspaper also stated that Queens Park Rangers were keen on securing Hugill’s signature on a temporary basis and that the two Championship sides were set to battle for the forward.

The experienced Hammers boss must ensure that the Whites win the hunt for Hugill’s services as he will return to the London Stadium a better player following a spell with the club.

Bielsa is a no-nonsense manager who will push everyone of his players to perform to their max potential every week with this being shown by the fact he has already ordered his new Leeds side to train four times a day.

Hugill will clearly be put through his paces if he signs for The Whites and this will only see him improve as a player.

Bielsa, 63, has tons of experience from his long successful managerial career and will no doubt be able to get Hugill scoring again if recruited which will see his value skyrocket.

This could all mean that the Premier League side avoid making a loss on their original £10million investment in the player that they currently expect to make, as reported by Claret & Hugh, when they’re able to get him permanently off their books.

Hugill’s current market value is no doubt way below what it should be as he has mysteriously only been allowed to feature three times for the Hammers since joining in January.

This has left a huge question mark over his talents and even though he has previously been seen as a proven Championship forward, having scored 23 goals in England’s second-tier, the Hammers need him to shine at a club in order for people to be reminded of his talents.

Leeds are clearly in need of a new attacker to aid their potential promotion bid in their 2018/19 campaign and this means that Hugill will at the very least be given a clear opportunity to establish himself as a first-team regular.

Given the experienced Bielsa being at the club, Hugill’s past success in the Championship and the fact the Whites have an opening for a forward just like Hugill, then Pellegrini must ensure West Ham loan the 26-year-old to Leeds as he will flourish.

The Hammers boss will also see one of the club’s fringe players off the books for the season which should aid his quest to recruit new players this summer.
