West Ham have done some brilliant business in the transfer window this summer with the captures of Ryan Fredericks and Andriy Yarmolenko being particular highlights.

While both are fabulous players in their own right, they could be lethal Premier League duo if they establish a telepathic-esque rapport between them.

Both Fredericks and Yarmolenko have decent pace in their locker with the former Fulham man being a glorified speed machine so they should be able to tear down the right-flank when paired together.

The 25-year-old right-back registered an impressive nine assists in 48 outings when with Fulham last season and could get even more if he had the right player to work with on the flank.

Yarmolenko previously showed what fabulous vision he had when it came to creating chances when he featured for Dynamo Kiev as he racked up 90 assists in 347 games for them.

The pair showed glimpses that they were capable of forming a potent combination down the right-flank for the Hammers during the recent pre-season friendly against Preston.

Yarmolenko and Fredericks consistently combined throughout the 2-2 draw to leave Preston’s defence not knowing which of them to close down first and it seems at least one of the players is aware of their potential together.

Fredericks spoke to the Hammers’ official site about the performance and in particular his new teammate and his comments shared that he thought the pair could do well together.

“Yarmo is an exciting player,” said the defender.

“I think we complement each other quite well, he can go 1v1 and also come inside and link the play and I can get around him and leave him to do his bits 1v1.”

“We’ve both got a bit of pace and that, so we look like we could show a little combination down that side.”

With the Preston game being one of their first competitive games together and Frederick’s comments, it seems the two Hammers recruits are on course to realise their potential together and develop a telepathic-like rapport to become a lethal Premier League duo.
