A number of West Ham supporters have expressed their love of the club’s new kit after the Hammers officially released their new 2018/19 third strip.

West Ham released the new third kit, which will be worn in the upcoming 2018/19 season, on the club’s official Twitter account.

The new style is said to be a throwback to the London club’s first ever third kit in the 1992/93 season.

New West Ham signings Andriy Yarmolenko, Felipe Anderson and Ryan Fredericks can be seen modelling the shirt on the launch video, and the supporters were left raving over what they saw on social media, the the Irons faithful calling it “fresh” and “quality”.

OPINION

It’s clear to see that some West Ham fans really like this new kit, although they will probably only get to see it a few times during the season. The kit itself is very smart and the design is definitely striking, but the socks are absolutely horrendous. Who at the London Stadium thought bright blue socks would look good with a plain white top and white shorts? It is probably a good thing that you can’t really see the socks in the video, because the fans would probably change their mind if they could see them. Hopefully, the fans won’t have to see this kit being used an awful lot in the upcoming season.
