West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini spoke out to clarify his relationship with the club’s board and shared there was no problem.

The veteran boss shared that he regularly spoke to David Sullivan and insisted that everyone was on the same page when it came to wanting new recruits to arrive at the London Stadium this summer.

It was reported earlier on Wednesday by the Daily Mirror that Pellegrini had already fallen out with the club’s hierarchy as he had seen several requests regarding new signings rejected.

“I speak to Mr Sullivan regularly and we are in agreement about our approach to bringing new players to the club this summer,” said Pellegrini to the Daily Mirror.

“We have already completed one very exciting signing with Ryan Fredericks coming to the club and we are working hard to bring more to West Ham for the supporters.

“I need to make it clear that there is absolutely no problem.

“I have been made to feel welcome by everyone at West Ham since my arrival. I already have a very good relationship with the two chairmen.”

OPINION

It seems there is no trouble in paradise despite the worrying report that emerged on Wednesday morning. Pellegrini has quickly squashed the idea like a bug and seems confident that Fredericks is the start of several players rocking up at the club. The manager has done a great job reacting to the report so swiftly as Hammers supporters can’t help but worry given the recent troubles the club have had. David Moyes regularly appeared to vocalise his frustration at the board and transfers, particularly in January, but it seems Pellegrini has it all under control. It’s interesting that recently appointed Hammers boss regularly speaks to co-chairman David Sullivan as that’s a positive sign regarding progress being made at the London Stadium. It’s very important in terms of the side’s chances of acquiring success anytime soon that everyone from the top to the bottom of the club are on the same page as that’s the only way the Hammers are going to shoot up the Premier League anytime soon.
