West Ham United are looking likely to completely revamp their goalkeeping lineup this summer, with Joe Hart already gone after the end of his loan spell and Adrian looking likely to make a return to La Liga.

Manuel Pellegrini has wasted no time in replacing Hart, with the Hammers having secured the £7million capture of Swansea City goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski.

And, while the future of Adrian is still in question, with some suggesting he could end up staying at the club, the club will no doubt be in the market for another stopper this summer.

According to the Daily Mail, Southampton have placed England international keeper Fraser Forster on the chopping block, and may even allow him to leave the club on loan.

This is a perfect opportunity for the Hammers to secure a quality goalkeeper in a risk-free deal, and they must prepare a swoop for the 6ft 7in colossus at once [Transfermarkt].

The 30-year-old admittedly suffered through a tough season in 2017/18, being ousted as Saints number one by Alex McCarthy after a string of uncertain displays.

However, there is little doubt that on form, the former Celtic man is one of the best goalkeepers in the country, and West Ham could do with him bolstering their ranks.

To have him and Fabianski competing for the number one spot would be fantastic for the club after a season in which neither Hart or Adrian impressed at all.

Forster merely needs a fresh start to find his touch once again, and West Ham must be first to offer him that after this major development.

If they manage to sign him and provide him with the right climate to regain his confidence then the Hammers will have an absolute steal on their hands.

It is a golden chance that they must not pass up this summer, and they must move fast to make it a reality.
