Manchester United have made no contact with West Ham about purchasing Marko Arnautovic this summer, according to a club insider.
It was previously claimed by the Daily Mirror on Friday that the Hammers were bracing themselves for a bid from Man United, who remained interested in signing the forward, and had even put a £60million price on his head to stop their pursuit.
However ExWHUemployee, a very accurate source of Hammers information, took to Twitter to reveal that while the two Premier League rivals had spoken it hadn’t been about Arnautovic.
In order to balance out the Lanzini news and be positive: there has been no contact from Manchester U regarding Arnautovic and we have spoke to them about something else and it wasn’t mentioned then! Most of what I tweeted a few days ago remains the same regarding transfers ⚒

OPINION
This is the news fans want to hear and they will love that the very reliable Hammers insider, ExWHUemployee, has provided such a positive update. Arnautovic is a key player at the club after scoring 11 goals in his debut season for the Hammers as he looks likely to be even more prolific next season. The 29-year-old forward struggled to fit in quickly at the London Stadium but once comfortably situated and settled in his new surroundings, the attacker quickly delivered the goods. If Arnautovic wasn’t a Hammers player last season then the club surely would have been much closer to dropping into the Championship without him there to guide them away from danger. The report about Manchester United’s interest in the forward had been a cause for concern as clearly the 29-year-old would no doubt be tempted at the prospect of potentially playing in the Champions League next season. However it seems there is no imminent threat of Jose Mourinho plucking Arnautovic from the clutches of Manuel Pellegrini anytime soon.
