West Ham have plenty of work to do in the summer transfer window and a lot of that will orientate around rejuvenating the squad, bringing in a number of fresh faces to improve the squad significantly.
One major problem area for the Hammers this season has been in front of goal, where a lack of consistency has left David Moyes’ side relying heavily on club-record signing Marko Arnautovic, who leads the scoring charts with nine league goals.
With speculation continuing to orientate around the future of Javier Hernandez, despite the Mexican striker only moving to the London Stadium last summer, West Ham are widely linked with interest in new forwards and it’s suggested that their interest in one Premier League man is serious.
The player in question is Newcastle United’s Aleksandar Mitrovic, who has excelled on-loan with Fulham in the Championship since January and has helped the Cottagers push for a return to the Premier League.
Rated at around £20m, Moyes scouted the striker during the international break, according to The Daily Mail, and was also spotted at Fulham’s 2-0 victory over Leeds United earlier this week.
