David Moyes has plenty of work to do at West Ham this summer and he’s likely to put a lot of focus into rejuvenating his midfield once the club’s Premier League status is secured.

The Hammers moved six-points clear of the relegation zone following Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea but face a mammoth clash against Stoke City next weekend, whilst they still have to face Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United.

Moyes will hope to start preparations for the summer transfer window soon though and Belgian outlet Niewsblad states the Hammers are ready to go toe-to-toe with Everton for the services of Burnley’s Steven Defour.

29-year-old Defour, who has earned 52 caps for Belgium’s national side, sees his contract with the Clarets come to a close in 2019 and Sean Dyche’s side may be tempted to cash-in at the end of the current campaign.

Defour has made 24 appearances for Burnley this season in their incredible push for a European finish and Everton are also keen on bringing him in this summer.
