West Ham boss David Moyes has made no secret of his desire to bolster his midfield options at the London Stadium but the Hammers may have to prepare to go toe-to-toe with one of their fellow Premier League strugglers in the fight for one signature.
Reports cited by Sport Witness state Crystal Palace are ready to revitalise their interest in Anderlecht’s Belgium international Leander Dendoncker, after seeing an approach rebuffed in January, and it could leave West Ham empty-handed.
Dendoncker spoke about his disappointment in missing out on a January move to the Premier League in February and is widely expected to be on the move this summer, where he could raise interest in his services with his performances for Belgium at the World Cup.
The report states Palace will offer around €15m for the 23-year-old, a figure that West Ham could comfortably match, but Anderlecht will certainly encourage a bidding war to drive the market price up.
