West Ham are set for a wealth of business this summer and there could be plenty of departures from the London Stadium, with David Moyes overhauling the squad and putting his own imprint onto the Hammers’ side.

One of those widely linked with an exit is Scotland international Robert Snodgrass, who has enjoyed a successful time on-loan with Championship promotion chasers Aston Villa and earned plenty of plaudits for his displays.

It’s understood that Moyes is keen to take a look at his compatriot during the close season before making a decision on whether to approve a permanent exit, although Snodgrass himself has dropped a hint to suggest he wants to return to Villa Park.

In a post on Twitter, Snodgrass congratulated the team behind the new Aston Villa kit and stated he can’t wait to see it- suggesting he still views Villa fondly and is open to the possibility of a permanent transfer this summer.

Villa currently sit fourth in the Championship with two matches to go, four points behind the automatic promotion spots and 13 ahead of seventh-placed Millwall, already sealing their spot in the playoffs.
