West Ham have plenty of work to do after the international break, as the Hammers sit just one point above the relegation zone with seven games to play- and they’re still to face Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal.

The club’s home form during the remaining fixtures will be crucial and David Moyes will be hoping that his side clinch survival so he can push ahead with a move for an exciting striker on the market.

Claret & Hugh report that West Ham intend to make a move for St. Etienne youngster Jonathan Bamba once their Premier League status is secure, with the Frenchman being available on a free transfer this summer.

Relegation rivals Crystal Palace are also keen on the 21-year-old but they too will likely have to wait until their top-flight status is assured, as Bamba will unlikely to be interested in a move to the Championship.

Both Premier League sides were interested in January but St. Etienne boss Jean-Louis Gasset pleaded with the board to hold onto the youngster for the remainder of the season.
