West Ham face a stern test following the international break as the Hammers look to get their fans back on side and secure their Premier League status, having found themselves just a single point above the relegation zone.

David Moyes’ side have been sucked back into the battle at the bottom following a woeful run of three consecutive defeats and a crunch-tie with fellow strugglers Southampton, who sit just below the Hammers in the table, awaits this weekend.

Whilst Moyes is preparing for a longer stint at West Ham, his contract lasts until the end of the season and is yet to be renewed- with The Sun now claiming that the club’s board are looking to make a change in management.

The report states that the Hammers want former Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini to lead the side next season and have already made advances to the Chilean, contacting the 68-year-old’s representatives regarding a move to the London Stadium.

Pellegrini guided the Citizens to the Premier League title in 2014 before departing two-years later, being replaced by Pep Guardiola, and now manages Chinese side Hebei China Fortune.
