West Ham are set for wholesale changes this summer and one of the biggest come come within the club’s hierarchy, as they prepare to appoint a director of football to oversee the club’s recruitment.

The Hammers have come under immense criticism for their transfer activity in recent years, signing a number of veterans who have seemed to be past their best and also seeing a number of recruits struggling to adapt to their new surroundings.

A new director of football will hopefully change that and lead to major improvements in that area- and The Sun claims West Ham are looking to raid Leicester City for the signature of Eduardo Macia.

The Foxes’ head of recruitment boasts a wealth of experienced having held roles with Liverpool, Valencia and Real Betis, amongst others, and joined Leicester after the club’s Premier League winning success in 2016.

Under his guidance, Leicester have made impressive signings that include Harry Maguire, Wilfred Ndidi, Adrian Silva and Vicente Iborra, many of whom are now linked with huge moves that could earn Leicester vast profit.
