It’s crunch time for West Ham, as the end of March’s international break signals the beginning of the end of the Premier League campaign and David Moyes’ side still have plenty to do.

A run of three consecutive defeats prior to a three-week break has left the Hammers just a single point above the relegation zone and has raised the importance of the clash with Southampton, the side just below them, this weekend.

West Ham are desperate to maintain their top-flight status and then rebuild in the summer, with the club already looking at improving their recruitment with the appointment of a director of football at the London Stadium.

However, West Ham legend Tony Cottee has called for widespread changes at the end of the season as he toldĀ Sky SportsĀ that the east London side need a major overhaul.

“It needs a complete and utter overhaul at the club, at probably every level of the club. But can you do that now? I am not so sure because there are even games left, it’s important everyone sticks together.”

“I am talking about the fans, the players, the management, everyone has to try and stick together at the club to get the results to stay in that division then at the end of the season, everything needs to be sorted out and I mean everything.”

“There is a lot wrong at the club and they cannot afford to get relegated.”

West Ham’s situation is not made any easier by their run of fixtures in the final eight matches, as they’re still to play Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal.
