West Ham have encountered plenty of problems this season and have seen their form drop consistently under the guidance of David Moyes, with three consecutive defeats prior to the international break leaving them just a point above the relegation zone.

Whilst the Scottish boss is preparing for a longer stint beyond the current end of his deal this summer, West Ham’s board are reportedly exploring the option of landing a new boss- and they’ve been handed a boost in the quest for one target.

The Sun reports that Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner is set to leave the West Yorkshire side at the end of the season, regardless of whether the Terriers retain their Premier League status.

German boss Wagner, who The Telegraph stated was a West Ham target last month, is seemingly ready for a new challenge after leading Huddersfield valiantly during his two-and-a-half years at the John Smith’s Stadium, exceeding expectations by leading the Terriers to the top-flight.

His success in West Yorkshire has seen him earn plenty of rave reviews and his signature would surely be sought after this summer if he does opt to leave.
