West Ham are seeking to significantly bolster their side this summer following another disappointing campaign, where the Hammers sit just three points above the relegation zone, and business is likely to be completed in midfield.

David Moyes was keen to improve his options in the middle of the park during the January window but struggled to get deals over the line, eventually signing Joao Mario on-loan from Inter Milan- though it’s suggested the Portuguese international isn’t being targeted for a permanent switch.

Instead, other options are likely to be pursued and French outletĀ Le10SportĀ claim that the Hammers are involved in a three-way battle for the services of versatile Lille midfielder Ibrahim Amadou, along with Brighton and Crystal Palace.

The Eagles pushed for a deal in January, with Amadou heading to London, but failed to agree a fee with Lille- which paves the way for a bidding war to take place at the end of the season.
