West Ham face a crucial end to their Premier League campaign after back-to-back 4-1 defeats against Liverpool and Swansea City have left the Hammers hovering just three points above the relegation zone.

David Moyes’ side have won just twice away from home this season, which increases the significance of the six remaining home matches that West Ham have at the London Stadium- starting with tomorrow’s hosting of Burnley.

The Clarets have hit a blip in their own campaign, finally ending an 11-match winless run last weekend against Everton, and West Ham will be hopeful of securing crucial points in their battle to avoid the drop- though it certainly won’t be easy.

BBC  pundit Mark Lawrenson has admitted he doesn’t know what to expect from West Ham and believes that Moyes’ side will fail to win yet again, predicting a 1-1 draw between the two teams.

“Burnley’s win over Everton last week was a big result for them because it had been so long since their last victory – on 12 December. West Ham, in contrast, had a very bad day against Swansea and, for their manager David Moyes, it will be vital his side get something from this game.”

“I am not sure what to expect from the Hammers at the moment, which is why I am going to go for a draw.”

A draw would keep West Ham above the relegation zone but would open the door for the likes of Crystal Palace and Stoke City below them to claw back crucial ground in the battle to avoid the drop.
