West Ham have struggled to get the best out of goalkeeper Joe Hart during his loan stint at the London Stadium from Manchester City, with the England international making another high-profile error during the recent defeat to Burnley.

Despite his poor form, Hart remains in England’s World Cup squad for this month’s friendlies against Italy and Holland, where he’ll seek to impress and retain his spot as the Three Lions’ first-choice between the posts for this summer’s World Cup.

Improvements certainly need to be made by Hart but he’s told the club’s official website that he’s ready to fight for his place, as he said:

“We’ve got some good games coming up. We want to go into them and learn as much about ourselves as we possibly can. We’ve done the hard task of qualifying for the World Cup, which many other teams found difficult, but I felt we handled it very professionally.”

“Now, we’ve got games to test ourselves and really see where we are at, work on our strengths and work on our weaknesses.”

Hart’s battle for football is not just limited to the international stage though and his performances for his nation could provide an impact on his club situation, where he’s fighting to secure a spot between the posts ahead of Adrian for West Ham.
