West Ham sit just a single point above the relegation zone heading into their final eight fixtures in the Premier League, leaving them with everything to fight for.

The Hammers have had three weeks without a match following a 3-0 loss to Burnley prior to the international break, where another forgetful performance from Joe Hart saw him make a mistake and attract plenty of criticism.

England World Cup hopeful Hart has struggled for form this season during his loan move from Manchester City but Ray Wilkins believes that he could still be the man to save the Hammers from relegation, as he told Sky Sports:

“Joe is having a bit of a sticky period, an inconsistent period at this moment in time, but he has got bundles of experience. At least he is positive in what he is doing.”

Hart’s poor performances this season have put him at risk of losing his spot between the posts for Enfland heading into the World Cup, as he faces competition with Stoke City’s Jack Butland and Everton’s Jordan Pickford.
