West Ham are making early preparations for the summer transfer window and David Moyes’ side seem to be prepared to make an early move.

The SunĀ claims the Hammers are ready to offer St. Etienne forward Jonathan Bamba a pre-contract ahead of the close season, where the 21-year-old is available on a free transfer upon the expiration of his contract.

West Ham added Jordan Hugill to their squad on Deadline Day in January, landing him from Preston, but Moyes is keen to continue bolstering his forward options- and the addition of young striker Bamba could provide a key boost.

The East London side have experience in securing pre-contract agreements for players, although neither Havard Nordveit or Sofiane Feghouli are examples of success, and Bamba could become a crucial player for the Hammers.

West Ham continue to search for consistency in the attacking third, having endured problems this season, and Bamba would battle the likes of Hugill, Javier Hernandez and Andy Carroll for starting opportunities.
