West Ham have been linked with a number of interesting deals during the January transfer window and a new name has emerged in recent reports.

The Daily MailĀ claims the Hammers have been offered the services of experienced French international Samir Nasri this month, as Turkish outfit Antalyaspor look to offload his services after seeing him become surplus to requirements this season.

30-year-old Nasri joined the Turkish side from Manchester City last summer, having won two Premier League titles with the Citizens, but he’s made just eight league appearances and has struggled to settle on the continent.

West Ham may well be interested in his services, after seeing a move for Joao Mario hit the rocks and Manuel Lanzini picked up an injury, but the Hammers have a poor recent record of signing ageing players on big contracts.

A return to the Premier League therefore seems unlikely for the former Arsenal man and West Ham should be looking elsewhere if they’re looking to sign players in Nasri’s position.
