West Ham are keen to rejuvenate their struggling Premier League side in January and David Moyes has already made advances to sign one striker from a fellow top-flight side.

The Sunday Express stated in it’s printed edition this weekend that West Ham had made an enquiry to Liverpool regarding the services of Danny Ings, who’s likely to leave on-loan this month as he continues his recovery from a long-term injury lay off.

The 25-year-old has struggled to make an impact at Anfield after being plagued by injuries since moving to Merseyside from Burnley in 2015 and a loan deal until the end of the season is likely to go ahead as the Reds look to hand him first-team chances.

However, West Ham face competition in the chase for Ings’ signature as the report also claims fellow strugglers West Brom are also keen, whilst the likes of Newcastle United have also been attributed with interest in recent weeks.

Ings has made just eight Premier League appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s side since his move in 2015, scoring two goals.
