West Ham are determined to bolster their underperforming side in the January transfer window and appear to be ready to go all out in an attempt to rejuvenate their squad.

Belgian outlet Het Nieuwsblad claims the Hammers have raised interest in highly-rated Anderlecht midfielder Leander Dendoncker, who was previously chased by Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United last summer.

The 22-year-old is free to leave his home nation if a suitable offer comes his way but a deal in January would be difficult to complete- although it seems David Moyes is ready to flex his muscles in the market with a move.

Central midfield is an area where the Hammers are keen to improve their options and, having been turned away by Stoke City in their advances for Welsh international Joe Allen, Moyes’ next target provides plenty of excitement for the future.

The highly-rated youngster would inject a huge boost into the Hammers’ struggling side and, crucially, would provide plenty of room for growth in the coming years- making the investment worthwhile and potentially handing them tremendous sell-on value.
