5 transfer deals West Ham need to finalise before next week’s deadline

Sell Ayew to Swansea

It’s been clear for a while that Andre Ayew is surplus to requirements at the London Stadium and Swansea City have long been linked with a move that would bring the Ghanian international back to South Wales. However, a deal is yet to be agreed.

Recent reports state that Swansea’s £14m swoop for the African ace has been rejected by the Hammers, who cost £20m when he moved to East London in 2016, and will have to break their own transfer record if they’re to land his signature.

West Ham are reluctant to approve a sale to a Premier League rival but the fee that the Hammers can raise from his exit is significant, handing David Moyes a vital boost for his own transfer spending.
